Canadian Mining Games History

Each year the Canadian Mining Games are held at participating Mining Engineering universities across Canada. The games involve academic challenges and hands-on competition between individual students or teams from each school. Typically, a team of 12 students from each university is sent to compete in 20 events over a several days.

The games are organized by students from the hosting school each year, but would not be possible without the generous donations made by companies. The 2010 Mining Games mark the 20th Anniversary of the games, and Dalhousie University is excited to be hosting for the second time since the games began in 1991.
